This is an ethereal John Galliano Silk 2 piece dress with a slip under dress and an Edwardian style sheer silk overlay with an empire waist. We love the way the sleeves are asymmetrical -- one ties at the shoulders and the other is a puff sleeve! They meet in a beautiful drape in front and back, allowing a glimpse at the under dress at the bodice. The dress closes with small black side buttons.
Though it had the John Galliano label when we acquired it, sadly, it fell off during dry cleaning! Luckily, the buttons on the dress are all marked, and we were able to document it from the Fall/Winter 2006/2007 Ready to Wear Runway Show!
This gorgeous dress was made in France and labeled a US size 8.
